Don’t Overpay When You Buy Auto Warranty

by Gregory Nelson

The first and easiest way to tell if you’re paying too much when you buy an auto warranty is if the company you’re buying it from has no ownership in the warranty itself. In most cases, they’re probably a direct marketing company, and they are going to charge you an extreme profit to cover their marketing costs.

So, if there’s a way for you to eliminate the middle man (and there is), you are going to save hundreds of dollars by going directly with a third party company when you buy an auto warranty.

How can you tell if they are the real deal versus a marketing company? Go ahead and ask them flat out, “Do you administer the warranty yourself?”

If the answer is no, they’re usually going to try and create an illusion where you think you’re buying the auto warranty right from them when you aren’t by saying something like, “To file a claim you simply call this toll-free number for claims assistance”.

Then you can follow up with a more specific question: “Does the number you just gave me go directly to your office?” And they’ll have to answer “No, it does not.” That’s your cue that you’re dealing with a direct marketer and not an actual warranty company.

At DCI Warranty Services we talk directly to the mechanic on your behalf to make sure the claim is paid and taken care of. So when you’re ready to buy an auto warranty, the phone number you call is going to ring right to our office.
