I don’t think most car owners realize this, but it’s actually a better idea to buy an auto warranty as soon as possible versus waiting for the manufacturer’s warranty to expire. Why? Because of a little thing know as pre-existing conditions.
Any claim on a warranty that is 120 days or younger is going to be scrutinized for pre-existing conditions. The warranty company loves this because they can exercise every loophole possible to get out of this claim. In fact, for most companies, it is cheaper for them to just cancel your contract than it is to pay the claim.
So when you buy an auto warranty early, you’re guaranteeing yourself is no problems. Your claim can go through without any red flags because there are no pre-existing conditions that could take place. Plus, most companies have a waiting period before their extended warranty goes into affect anyway, so why risk being uncovered for that time?
Unlike other companies who hope you’ll put off buying an auto warranty so they can more easily reject your claims, we at Motor Vehicle Services want you to buy your vehicle service agreement as soon as possible. Plus then you’re double covered in case the manufacturer goes bankrupt (which is a very real possibility right now).
