What’s the point of having a repair covered by your car warranty if it’s more of a hassle that it’s worth? With all the stress and anxiety that usually surrounds a car breakdown, it’s important that you also look for the little things that give your car warranty value aside from just covering you financially.
For starters – Towing. If your car warranty doesn’t cover towing how will you get the car to the repair shop in the first place? Unless you know someone who owns their own tow truck, you’re going to have to pay for towing yourself. And those miles can really add up quickly.
Next – Car Rental. So now that you’ve paid out the money to get your car towed to the repair shop, how will you go about your everyday life if the repair is going to take days, or even weeks to fix? Here you have a couple of options: You can pull a friend or family member out of work to help you out, or you can pay for your own car rental. You might even have a good friend who says it’s “no problem at all” to drive you around for the day, but you’ll start to feel bad when that day turns into a week.
And something else you should always look at – Reimbursement vs. Direct Pay. Once your car is finally working again, who’s going to pick up the bill? If you have to pay the mechanic and then wait for the car warranty company to pay you back, you never know how long that is going to take. And if the repair was expensive, which most tend to be, that can really weigh on your pocket book.
At DCI Warranty Services, we care about your emotional well being along with your car repair. We’ve all been there before and know what we would want if we were in your shoes. That’s why our vehicle service agreements come standard with towing and car rental, and we always pay the mechanic directly.
While we can’t take away all the hassle that comes with any car breakdown, we try very hard to provide the most convenience possible over any other car warranty.
