Older Cars Need an Auto Warranty Too

by Gregory Nelson

If your vehicle has a lot of miles, you’re probably wondering if you even need an auto warranty or if you should just put some money aside in case something happens. But simply saving your money can be a very risky approach. For one thing, you never know what’s going to happen, and another thing is you never know just how much it’s going to cost. But if experience serves me well, I can tell you it’s not going to be cheap, especially when the repair guy finds out you don’t have an auto warranty.

I’d say the majority of consumers out there are worried about getting ripped off when they go to a car repair shop, and well, the sad truth is that some mechanics actually do rip you off when you walk in as an unknowledgeable customer. Besides charging you exactly whatever is on their price chart (or higher) for parts, you can probably count on the majority of that money you were saving going toward their insanely high labor charges and maybe even some charges for things your car doesn’t need.

But – and this is something you should pay close attention to – when you have an auto warranty like Motor Vehicle Services, we act as your middle man to make sure repairs are legitimate and within the correct price range, even if the repair isn’t covered under your service contract.

So if you think getting an auto warranty for you older car isn’t worth it, I think you’ll be surprised to learn how you can’t afford NOT to have one!
