Tread Lightly Before You Buy Auto Warranty

by Gregory Nelson

As a consumer shopping for a new or used car (which probably includes you since you’re reading this) you’ll more than likely be pressured to buy an auto warranty as part of your purchase. So right off the bat, what in the heck is an auto warranty?

Well, you’ll be told that when you buy an auto warranty it will cover repairs not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, or will simply extend coverage after the manufacturer’s warranty runs out. So is this true?

For the most part, yes. And especially when dealing with DCI Warranty Services, YES.

However, you need to be aware of exactly what it is that your auto warranty covers. Because when you buy an auto warranty it may not cover what you think it does, and that’s where so many consumers run into problems and start loathing the auto warranty business.

I can certainly understand this. I know it’s particularly infuriating when you buy the wrong auto warranty only to be told it doesn’t seem to cover any necessary repairs when you try to use it.

So make sure you read the fine print and ask a lot of questions before signing anything. In fact, click here to read another helpful post I’ve written to help you buy an auto warranty that fits your needs:
