How Easily a Warranty Company Can Reject Your Claim

by Gregory Nelson

Once you purchase an auto warranty, you expect it to be there when you need it. So I’m sure the last thing you need is to be fighting with a mechanic because he said the warranty company rejected your claim and you’re stuck with a huge repair bill. But sadly, this happens all the time. It is so easy for a warranty company to reject your claim because of all the fine print and loopholes they can legally drag you through.

For example, every warranty is going to require regular maintenance on your vehicle to keep your contract valid. So if you go over on your miles for an oil change or lose a single receipt for any of your checkups, they are going to nail you. Not only will they reject the claim, but they are also going to flat out cancel your contract…and this is all completely legal.

Other warranty companies might also hide the fact that luxury cars require less maintenance from the dealer. Luxury cars usually only need maintenance about every 12,000 miles. So even though you make all of your appointments and have all the receipts, it isn’t going to match the agreement of every 6,000 miles as stated in your contract. So without even knowing it, your warranty may be null and void when you thought you were doing everything right.

However, at DCI Warranty Services we will contact the dealer on your behalf and acquire a letter stating this so your vehicle service agreement will never be canceled so unfairly. Like I said earlier, the last thing you need is to get stuck with a huge repair bill because your claim was denied. We are here to act as your advocate instead of leaving you to fend for yourself like any other warranty company.
