Experience Extended Auto Warranty Relief

by Gregory Nelson

Having an extended auto warranty is one of those things that can either bring great relief or regret to an unfortunate breakdown situation. When those major car repairs find their way into your life and your wallet, you don’t want to be the one regretting the extended auto warranty you chose (or didn’t even get).

So how can you make sure you’re the lucky person chanting, “Thank goodness my extended auto warranty covered the $700 repair for my clutch fan” instead of falling into sadness and regret?

  1. Don’t buy the first extended auto warranty you see. Not all warranties are the same, and you want one that matches the qualifications of your vehicle.
  2. Don’t go for the cheapest extended auto warranty. Ask questions about what’s actually covered and what you will be responsible for.
  3. Make sure you understand exactly how to submit a claim so you don’t experience unnecessary regret that would have otherwise been covered.
  4. Always ask to see a copy of the contract BEFORE buying.
  5. Research the company for customer testimonials, etc to make sure they are legitimate.

In my experience, much of the regret associated with an extended auto warranty could have been avoided. So I hope you can experience the relief a warranty can bring when you need it the most.
