On My Side the Whole Time
I called into your office on July 14th with a claim on my 2006 Chevy Duramax Diesel Truck. Since I work as a welder, I really didn’t want to be without my work vehicle for long. But before calling, the mechanic had already told me he needed to keep it in the shop for 3 days. That may not seem like long to some people, but to me that meant losing about $2,000 from being out of work.
Thankfully, Motor Vehicle Services went the extra mile for me. After the mechanic faxed them the repair order, they were quick to question the outrageous repair amount of $3,160.58. They took the time to talk to me and discover that the mechanic’s story wasn’t matching up with mine.
So once the claim was filed, they sent out an adjuster to check out what was really going on down at that repair shop and found out the mechanic wasn’t being completely honest. The only repair my truck really needed only cost $374.80 and only took 4 hours to complete. That saved me 2 and 1/2 days of pay for my work.
I was so relieved that my truck was back on that road same day. And I probably would have missed more work later on if the real repair had not been discovered and taken care of.
I don’t think any other warranty company would have gone to such great lengths for my particular situation. I bet they might have even tried to deny the claim altogether because of the original high repair bill. It was comforting to know that Motor Vehicle Services was on my side the whole time.
