Once you purchase an auto warranty, you expect it to be there when you need it. So I’m sure the last thing you need is to be fighting with a mechanic because he said the warranty company rejected your claim and you’re stuck with a huge repair bill. Many people don’t buy car warranties because they believe they can’t afford it. How can you NOT afford it if you knew how mechanics and repair shops can take advantage of you without one? While it may sound outrageous, it’s still true that some mechanics and repair shops will overcharge for retail on parts and the labor performed. In some cases, they may even put in extra parts that are not necessary for the repair, not to mention the unsightly hourly wage that’s posted on the wall.
