Even after you feel comfortable with the quoted price for an extended warranty, you need to be careful about choosing the wrong extended warranty provider. My youngest daughter is a good example for this one. She knows she wants a new bike, and she knows she wants it pink. But when she runs right up to a bike twice her size yelling, “This one!” that doesn’t mean that’s the bike for her.
So avoid the headache of picking the wrong extended warranty provider by making sure your car fits with what their extended warranty covers. Don’t accidentally go with a provider who only covers cars under your current mileage, or a company that didn’t know the previous owner had “souped up” your engine, therefore voiding it from any possible repairs.
And one thing you really don’t want to do is go with an extended warranty provider simple to save a few bucks. (You can read more about this in my previous post: Fight Natural Instinct of Extended Warranty Shopping)
