They Helped When They Didn’t Have To

When I called to file a claim on August 21, 2009 I was already very upset because my 2004 Dodge Stratus wasn’t starting and I was stranded at work. Everyone else had already gone home for the day and it was getting dark pretty fast.

After calling Motor Vehicle Services, I received some even more bad news that my service contract had expired. I had purchased a contract for 100,000 miles and had already gone over 19,673 miles without even noticing.

I expected to be turned away immediately and be left to handle the situation on my own, but the lady I spoke to transferred me over to their Goodwill Department instead. Once I had explained my situation to them, they located a dealership close to my work and even arranged for the tow truck to come pick me up. I was so surprised and grateful for their help.

The next morning I found out the total repair was going to be a $1159.84 and I couldn’t get my car back until I paid in full. I had already missed half a day of work and didn’t know how I was going to find the money to pay all at once. Once again, the Goodwill Department at Motor Vehicle Services was able to help me out. They agreed to pay the entire repair price and I could then pay them back over the next 12 months.

I still can’t believe they did all of that for me when my warranty wasn’t even valid. They helped me get back on the road as quickly as possible, and I know I would have been stranded with any other warranty company. Thanks again for all your help and for going the extra mile when you didn’t have to.

Sincerely,
